First thing first, an Indian travelling to Dubai needs to first procure a Dubai Visa. Emirates Airlines passengers can use the DVPC mobile app in order to apply for a UAE visa in just five minutes. A Dubai tourist visa is ideal for an Indian travelling to the UAE for the purpose of tourism which could be a holiday or even to visit family in Dubai. But before that you need to decide on your visa type whether for 48 or 96 hours, or for longer like a 30-day or 90-day visa. There are multiple-entry visas too for 30 and 90 days. Indian passport holders can apply for Dubai Visa Online, and once your application is accepted, you receive a copy of your e-visa through email. The Dubai Visa for Indians process is a fairly simple one.

Travelling to Dubai post COVID-19

Indian citizens who have procured a Dubai visa need to produce a COVID-19 RT-PCR report that includes a QR code linked to the original report for the purposes of verification at the airport. This QR code needs to be presented at the time of check-in and also to the representatives of DHA (Dubai Health Authority) upon arriving at Dubai airports. After getting your Dubai visa online, Indian citizens need to produce the following:

– A valid negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test certificate with a QR code for a test done within 48 hours of scheduled departure. The validity of the same needs to calculated from the time the sample was collected, prior to departure from an approved health facility.

– A rapid COVID-19 RT-PCR test report with a QR code for a test done at the departure airport within 6 hours of scheduled departure.

– Health insurance valid for the duration of visa validity is recommended to cover any testing, medical and quarantine cost.

Dubai Visa on Arrival for Indian Citizens Post COVID-19

Indian citizens who hold a normal passport and are travelling to or from India through Dubai can procure a visa-on-arrival in Dubai for a maximum stay of 14 days provided they meet the below criteria:

– They have a visitor visa or a green card issued by the US. Or

– They have a residence visa issued by the UK or European Union.

This visa issued by either United Kingdom, United States or the European Union needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months.

Travellers arriving into Dubai from India need to take another COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival at the Dubai International Airport. After taking the test at the airport, you need to quarantine yourself by staying in a pre-booked hotel or your residence until the test results arrive. In case you test positive, it would be mandatory to undergo isolation and adhere to the Dubai Health Authority guidelines. You would also have to download the COVID-19-DXB Smart App.

Applying for a Dubai Visa Online

Before planning your vacation, you need to first bag a UAE visa online. Applying for a Dubai visa online is one of the easiest things to do. In case you are travelling on Emirates and you have your PNR number, you can apply for a visa for Dubai as you retrieve your booking from the flight’s website. Read the visa application form and straightaway apply. But before applying for a visa Dubai online you need to know your visa type, whether it is a 48-hour visa, 96-hour visa, 30-day visa, a 90-day visa, a multi-entry short-term visa for 30 days or a multi-entry long-term visa for 90 days. Typically for a Dubai E Visa, the documents required range from the scanned colour copy of the first and last page of your passport, a scanned copy of a colour passport size photograph in white background, and a confirmed return.

You can now apply for your Dubai visa through the Routemeup app or website where you can pay online through our payment gateway, and upload your necessary documents. We then verify and submit the documents on your behalf and you are then sent your tourist e-visa to your registered email id. The visa processing fee charged by the consulate of the country you are visiting will vary with the length of your stay, with the lowest being for a 96-hour transit visa. A 90-day tourist visa, on the other hand, elicits the highest processing fee. When you get your visa done through an agent, the agent website will charge its commission which is over and above the taxes and the visa processing fee charged by the high commission of the country you are visiting.
